William Bernet
Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, University of Vanderbilt.
Postgraduate in Child Psychiatry and Psychiatry by Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Boston; Neuro-Pediatrics Medicine by Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, New York; and Medical Doctor by Harvard Medical School, Boston. Founder and first President of Parental Alienation Study Group. Membership of American Psychiatric Association, distinguished life fellow; American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, distinguished life fellow; and American Academy of Forensic Sciences, fellow.
Robert Samery
Over the past four decades, Robert has passionately advocated for parental alienation issues and more. He has had the privilege of founding and co-founding several successful organizations, such as the Parental Alienation Awareness Organization (PAAO) and the Canadian Association for Equality (CAFE). His approach has been described as that of a bridge builder, fostering consensus in challenging situations. He’s excited to bring his organization-building skills to COPARA.
Carmina Cañada
Carmina Edith Cañada Rangel, Master and Doctor of Christan Counseling, Logos Christian University, Jacksonville, Florida. Psychology degree by Universidad del Valle de México, Campus Lomas Verdes, Mexico State, with research lines in emotional abuse in marriage, codependency, and personality profiles of juvenile delinquents. Has worked as a Clinical Psychologist as a private practitioner for many years, and in “Dr. José Torres Orozco” Psychiatric Hospital, of the Ministry of Health of Michoacan State in Mexico, for over 27 years.
Alejandro Mendoza
PhD in Psychology from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Master’s Degree in Health Sciences and Medical Doctor from the School of Medicine and Biological Sciences “Dr. Ignacio Chávez” from the Michoacan University of San Nicolas de Hidalgo. Degree in Educational Psychology from the Education Sciences Michoacan Institute. Founder and first President of Global Action for Research Integrity in Parental Alienation. He has been Mental Health Coordinator and Technical Secretary of the National Strategy for the Prevention of Addictions of the Ministry of Health in Michoacan State, Chairman of Education and Research of the Psychiatric Hospital “Dr. José Torres Orozco.”
Ing. Diego Rivadeneira Icaza, Mg, Msc
Researcher, writer, conflict management specialist and activist committed to children’s rights and family protection. Through the Parents for Justice Foundation, I advocate for transforming laws to heal family relationships and prevent parental alienation. My focus is on promoting a future where the best interests of the child and family strengthening are paramount, based on research integrity and detached from ideology.
Mauricio Luis Mizrahi
Specialist in studies on parental alienation. Published in 2022 the book “Parental Alienation. Children Orphaned by Living Parents”. He holds a PhD in Law and Social Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires and is a full professor at the same University. Another of his books ” Parental Responsibility. Personal Care and Communication with Children”, won in 2016 the First Prize awarded by the National Academy of Law and Social Sciences of Buenos Aires. He has been a professor at the aforementioned University for more than fifty years and has published numerous other books and some two hundred legal works in his specialist. He has in press, soon to be published as exclusive author, his three-volume “Treatise on Parental Responsibility”, where the issue of parental alienation is analyzed in depth.
Oscar Abudara Bini
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, University of Buenos Aires, Couples and Family Therapist, Psychoanalyst, court expert, expert in reconnections. Former Professor of Freud and Lacan Center for Research in Psychoanalysis, former Professor of Psychopathology of the Psychologists Association of Capital Federal, Former Deputy Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic of Don Torcuato Buenos of Aires, Former Head of Adolescent and Family Psychopathology at the Italian Hospital.
Edward Kruk, MSW, PhD
He is Professor Emeritus of Social Work at the University of British Columbia, specializing in child and family policy, who also practices family mediation in Vancouver. His recent research projects have focused on co-parenting after divorce, family mediation, and parental alienation. He has over 40 years of clinical and community work experience as a professional social worker. He received his BA and MSW degrees from the University of Toronto, and his doctorate from the University of Edinburgh, where he studied as a National Welfare Fellow. He is author of many chapters and books, and has published widely in a variety of academic and professional journals.
